The Y5(10)W-9J is a 9kV gapless metal-oxide surge arrester purpose-built for distribution transformer protection on overhead lines. Its ZnO varistor core instantly diverts overvoltage energy to ground, limiting lightning residual voltage to 27kV and switching residual to 23.8kV. With a maximum continuous operating voltage of 7.65kV and high current withstand of 65kA/100kA, it handles moderate to severe lightning duty. The polymer housing provides excellent hydrophobicity and pollution resistance, while varistor diameter options (35mm to 42mm) allow energy rating customization. Class 1/Class 2, Design B per IEC 60099-4.
